Pierre and Jean Gonon farm steep Saint-Joseph terraces above Mauves, making one of the great traditional Northern Rhône Syrahs from old vines and granitic schist. The Saint-Joseph rouge is the consensus reference for the appellation; the Vin de Pays Les Iles Feray is the baby brother.
