Deirdre Heekin works hybrid varieties (La Crescent, Marquette, Frontenac) on her Vermont farm, making natural wines that helped establish hybrid-grape farmland viticulture in the American Northeast as serious wine, not novelty. Cuvées like Damejeanne and Loups-Garoux are now widely allocated.
