Belgian-born Frank Cornelissen settled on Mount Etna in 2001 and pursued an uncompromising vision: no sulfur, no copper, no manipulation, fermentation in epoxy-lined amphorae buried in volcanic earth. His Magma, MunJebel, and Susucaru bottlings reframed what Sicilian volcanic Nerello Mascalese could be.
